Just as the title exists only to garner political correctness points, the movie exists only because other, better movies like Rise of Planet of the Apes have conditioned audiences to accept that an alpha dog can rise to lead a Revenge of the Mutts until the all too predictable 'music soothes the savage beasts' finale.
