Review of Whisper (2007) by Pavandeep S — 31 Mar 2008
Christian-themed horror always gets to me, this one was no different. I found this to be very different from other movies. A kid that doesn't lead you to sympathy and characters that are flawed in a screwed up way, they never allow the audience to sympathize with them, strange for a horror film, where those being killed must elicit sympathy but here, it feels like they are human and it is this distancing that allows us to view the story as an objective piece, of people driven to desperation and with a very bare plot, the characters shine more.
