I seem to be out-of-synch with the critics, but I think this was a very good movie. Maybe the critics have missed the point. This is, I believe, a very good reflection of the life experienced by war journalists in Afghanistan.
Both Tina Fey and Billy Bob play good serious portrayals of real people and both the stresses and irony of reporting the war in Afghanistan.
