Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is an enjoyable comedy-drama anchored by strong performances. Tina Fey gives a great performance in the lead role. She shines in nearly all of her scenes, and also shines in very dramatic scenes.

Margot Robbie and Martin Freeman also have great supporting roles. The story is enjoyable and entertaining throughout its runtime. The film is slow at some parts, but it overall entertains. The film is billed as a comedy, but isn't that funny.

There are some jokes, but not a lot. This is much more a drama with comedic overtones. Overall, this is a fine film from the directors of Crazy Stupid Love. It isn't amazing, but it is a solid movie with great performances.
