Review of Whiplash (2014) by Harrison K — 02 Jun 2015

I loved that while there are small subplots, everything in the movie focuses on the drive of someone who wants to be great and not only his conflict with his mentor / antagonist, but also himself. While intense, it's a conflict we all owe to ourselves to bring out the best in us - to see it so brilliantly played out was perfectly captivating.

And if nothing else, when a film about jazz can get your heart racing throughout, it has hit all the right notes.
