Review of Whiplash (2014) by Juyeon S — 27 Jan 2018
I actually thought I wouldn't like this going into the theater. Boy was I wrong. Story is simple, but holds onto a powerful message. Film itself is pretty uneventful, but it is so well made that you feel the tension and thrill that you buy into it.
Most importantly, those goddamn acting performances were indeed astounding. One word to describe the film was "bold.".
