Review of The Pool (2001) by Luca V — 22 May 2010
Tout it as a french director's first English film, put a little critical acclaim on it and maybe a little ketchup and mustard, but this movie is still a turd you don't want to eat. Sure, there is a so-called twist at the end, but even this heavy-handed attempt at intellectualization can't buff up a essentially story-less study of unlikeable characters that moves at the pace of an arthritic tortoise.
