Review of While We're Young (2015) by Caz H — 06 May 2017
I think the characters are all presented as slightly unlikable however that works in a way and there is still an element of empathy to be found in each of them in varying degrees. Darby and Jamie are so archetypal of modern day hipsters it's almost unbelievable and a bit condescending but some elements did ring true and made me laugh.
The character presentations of Josh and Cornelia are ultimately what makes this great, along with the plot of the documentary as that unfolds in an interesting and entertaining way. I did really like it, but not quite as much as other Baumbach films.
