"It may not reach the heights of his previous superior efforts but Michael Moore's progressive documentary is one of the better movies of 2016".

Movie Review: Where to Invade Next.

Date Viewed: March 19 2016.

Written and Directed By Michael Moore (Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11,.

Roger & Me, The Big One and Sicko).

Starring: Michael Moore.

Life-long liberal filmmaker Michael Moore is back and this time he's invading economical and social issues in several foreign countries.

"Where to Invade Next" is his first documentary in seven years but he still hasn't lost his stride. Both outrageous and really funny, "Where to Invade Next" is a significant improvement over his previous feature "Capitalism: A Love Story". It may not reach the heights of Moore's more superior efforts like "Bowling for Columbine", "Fahrenheit 9/11" and "Sicko" but it is still one of the better movies of 2016.

Set and released during a present time where America is in need of a political revolution, "Where to Invade Next" shows Michael Moore traveling to various foreign countries to see how each of their social and economic enterprises work. In Italy, he finds that ordinary people take multiple weeks off from work just to spend time at the beach. Are their bosses okay with this? They surprisingly say yes! Americans barely get any time off from work.

In France, elementary students eat four different courses of lunch everyday and their cooks look like they were hired from a five-star restaurant. Those kiddie lunches look delicious compared to American school lunches. When Moore explores the education system in Finland, he finds that college is completely free. Students don't have to pay a penny for tuition in Finland and Moore interviews a few American students who have moved to Finland just to get out of paying more student debt.

Moore also finds something else in the Finnish education system, high school students are given easier courses to work on instead of harder subjects like Math and Science and they are given little homework.

It is just amazing and outrageous to hear that because in the U.S. and Canada (that's right I'm putting you on check too!), teachers are basically throwing the kitchen sink at high school students every week. Little homework is okay for the teachers and school staff in Finland because it gives students more freedom and space to think about the work they're doing. It all seems to be paying off for Finland because they're number #1 in education, as for the United States they're at number #29.

It is outrageous stuff to hear about but that the genius of Michael Moore, he is out there exposing America's problems and explaining to us how can they be fixed. This film is pure Michael Moore, his solutions are understandable and he doesn't hate America, he just wants to make it better. The social and economic issues discussed in this film are engaging to hear about without being meandering and formulaic. "Where to Invade Next" is a sad and hilarious progressive doc that shows Moore back on top of his creative form.
