Review of Where to Invade Next (2015) by Don S — 22 Nov 2016
Another brilliant movie by the unshaven, slovenly Michael Moore! (my god, does he know he's on camera?) Moore goes to other countries to find ideas to bring back to the U.S.A. . Italy has vacation leave, France has school lunches and sex education, Finland has no homework, no private schools and no standardized testing, and Slovenia has free university - even for foreigners! In other countries he shows us women in power, prisons that are based on rehabilitation not revenge, and the power of acknowledging your country's past. It's quite a world tour, and I teared up twice during the educations pieces. The Ah Ha! moment at the end is pretty nice too! Overall, a great look at how some of the problems in our country have been successfully addressed around the world!
(now shave and wash your hair, you filthy filmmaker! eeewww...).
