This was a well made well acted piece of modern day film noir. At first the story seems a little mixed up and is a little hard to folw, but then you catch up to all the flash backs and voice overs, and things of that nature.

On a side note this film did make me think of Martin and Lewis from back in the day of my folks. Now the mystery almost gets pushed into the back ground while the lying and the deceitfulness of the characters as the story is unveiled.

At the end you care nothing for the dead body of the girl, because in the end she deserved it, but the tortured souls of The Lounge Singers are well deserved too, and the nosey reporter who's heart is broken by the whole ordeal is also deserved.

So the main theme of this film is that bad people have bad things happen to them thus causes more bad things to happen to the people around them. And the end is quite touching, to tie the movie together and you feel like a better person after the fact because you are not them.
