Review of Where the Truth Lies (1999) by Michael K — 31 Dec 2007
An adaptated story about two 50s celebrities in the sleazy kind of mould see their careers disappear down the drain when a scandal takes them off the front pages. Featuring good solid turns from leads Kevin Bacon and Colin Firth, it's a stylish breeze through a fictional story not dissimilar to the likes of The Cat's Meow and Auto Focus.
Like both of those it's enjoyable and although it's the weakest of the three works I've seen from director Atom Egoyan, it was still watchable.
