I have seen this version of Superman (Man of Steel) but for some reason I just don't have the desire to see it over again like I do the original films starring Christopher Reeve. Sure the effects are better but it just doesn't have the same lasting appeal to me.
Russell Crowe is likeable in this as Jor-el, and Kevin Costner was also very good as Jonathan Kent.Not a bad movie though as a stand alone film. The vision of Krypton acheived in this film is possibly what the creators of the 1978 version envisioned but were unable to achieve do to the limits of technology.
