Review of Where the Truth Lies (1999) by Seamus K — 03 Sep 2008
It's never a good sign when you get to the end of a mystery, and not only do you realize that you don't care who did it, but also that you've forgotten you were watching a mystery until they've given you the solution.
"Where The Truth Lies" had the potential to be an interesting whodunit, but instead turned out to be a meandering yawn festival with a few sex scenes thrown in to keep people from turning it off. Character development was stopped short of generating sympathy for anyone, and through most of the first half it was hard to understand why certain things were happening. This was not because it was a part of the mystery, it was just bad film making.
