Review of Where Eagles Dare (1968) by Gary C — 31 Jan 2008
The definitive WWII spy action thriller with Burton demonstrating a great talent for spy vs spy and everyone else along for the ride. It is to this day one of the single best thrillers out there with high quality music, directing, cutting, plot line, action action, and a clutch climatic ending that if you've never seen the film you may not expect.
This is the covert ops film for WWII everyone else tries to imitate.
