The first colour film in my Sci-Fi collection, and the first global disaster epic. Don't you just love the hero who spends half the pic trying to refuse the opportunity to be saved? Don't you just love the guy who persuades his ex-girlfriend's new beau that he must go on the spaceship in order for the mission to succeed? They're sooooooooo noble!
