Review of When Worlds Collide (1951) by Craig C — 16 Aug 2013
On the heels of Destination Moon, another George Pal classic from the Golden Age. The grand daddy of End of the World films has aged well, especially when stacked next to recent attempts like Armageddon.
The SFX save the stilted acting and awkward love triangle, but Pal should have gotten the money to create Zyra when the ship lands, as the animated greeting card is a let down. But even with these issues, its still a classic.
