Review of When Worlds Collide (1951) by Randy T — 30 Aug 2009
The special effects are surprisingly good and the human drama is surprisingly bad. Rather the opposite of what one might have expected. I thought the flooding of Manhattan was excellent. The cast was lifted straight out of old Commedia stereotypes: the lead lovers, the young lovers, the doctor, and Scaramouche in a wheelchair.
A bit disappointing.
