De La Salle Football is a Northern California tradition. My roommate for almost all of my college years went to this very distinguished school. When I received word that I was going to have the chance to see this movie early. I was very hesitant. Seeing something that I live with , in a bad light is something that I do not want to do . I want to see things be made very well. I want to see things be given proper justice. I have seen movies that have not been given that in the past few years. With this one I will say this is one of the Best " Based on true events" movies in a long time.

Inspired by a true story, WHEN THE GAME STANDS TALL tells the remarkable journey of legendary football coach Bob Ladouceur (Jim Caviezel), who took the De La Salle High School Spartans from obscurity to a 151-game winning streak that shattered all records for any American sport. When the streak is broken, and tragedy strikes the team, Coach Lad must teach his players - and the entire town - that it's not about how you fall, but how you get back up.

Not all movies have remained true to the genuine history of the event or the characters they are portraying, often adding action and drama to increase the substance and popularity of the movie.

SO to break it dow they make up stuff so it looks pretty! Here only some of that was done to create " Drama" as they would say.

Since everyone knows the story , about what happens I will not go to much into it. I will give the summery. this is one not to be missed. This is a well made movie for Teenagers and families alike. this movie premotes , handwork and prayer. this movie should be on sunday schools and for people to view with there church groups. one of the better football movies. Football teams should see this movie this season on there days off. they need to see this movie. there have been a lot of bad reviews of this one. but to me this movie does get a A- . this movie pre motes the type of movie I like to see well thought out christian movies and we need these. also please wait for the credits. you will see how close they got to try to match the real events that were in the movie!
