Review of When the Game Stands Tall (2014) by Dave H — 31 Aug 2014
Wish there was a way to critique the critics. I'm not sure what movie they watched. It looks like they all just copied each other. They saw it was a movie that had some inclusion of faith and so they bashed it.
But it was a very good movie. Some of the acting wasn't great, but you hardly noticed because you were so caught up in the story. I think the critics are afraid of a message. I haven't seen them give anything positive to anything that has any meaning.
If it's dark or controversial, they might like it. But show the least bit of health and they will mess it up every time. What's important is that they people who actually went to see the movie liked it.
Our entire audience remained to watch the credits. Go see this movie. The message it gets across is clear - again - the critics missed it. It's in the very last sequence. I personally think most of the critics didn't even bother to watch the movie.
Their answers are too much the same. Talk about cliché. Watch this movie. These people didn't like Remember the Titans either. If you like the Titans, you'll like this movie.
