Review of When a Stranger Calls (2006) by Tessa C — 11 Jul 2010

While I did like this version better than the 1979 version, I did find it rather underdeveloped. Why should I care about the babysitter? When & how did the stranger get in & who was he? And the end was yet other set up for a possible sequel (though if there isn't one the end was not satisfying).

I am a fan of Katie Cassidy & because of such, was disappointed in her almost needless role. I did like the chase sequence between Jill & the kids, & the stranger. Since I am more of a horror fan, I felt the film lacked in delivering thrills as well as story.
