Review of When a Stranger Calls (2006) by Steve E — 09 Apr 2009
Jill Johnson is babysitting when she gets a seires of alarming phone calls...
Its a very generic horror film for teens. Camilla Belle is stiff at best as the lead, the plot is paper thin, and incredible number of cliches! But here is why I'm biased. Good visuals will put any film no matter how bad otherwise in a good light and When a Stranger calls does have effective cinematography. The light is always well placed, created spooky shadows and the composition is always having things poking out the sides.
