Review of When a Stranger Calls (2006) by Paul T — 07 Aug 2009
I don't remember much about the original, other than I saw the sequel first and I enjoyed the opening 20 minutes but the rest was so-so. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this remake though. There's a lot more style and suspense than most modern horror movies, especially remakes, and the film is pretty tense most of the way through.
The fact that I think Camilla Belle's a very good looking girl doesn't harm things either, as half the movie involves her being along in the house!
