Review of When a Man Loves a Woman (1994) by Sanja S — 10 Sep 2007
First of all, this movie was, in my opinion, a step forward for Meg Ryan, because she found a new character for herself. Don't get me wrong, I love Meg Ryan, but it seems to me she was stuck in a route.
This movie deals with woman's alcoholism and fight to keep a family under those circumstances. This theme is always neglected in romantic movies, maybe because the directors are afraid they might lose their audience. Anyway, the movie is great and I think it would melt even the hard-core sceptics.....
