A good drama with that dull gray shot-for-VHS-with-some-bland-acoustic-guitar-music-track '90s execution studios have long since passed. A great cast (Leo's performance as a mentally challenged character spanks Tom Hanks and Sean Penn combined), but a melodrama that's not strong enough to revisit often.
I mean, as '90s family melodramas go, I'm still throwing down with Fried Green Tomatoes.
