Review of Whatever Works (2009) by Kenneth B — 13 Jan 2012
On paper Woody Allen and Larry David should make a good comedy partnership and to an extent they do. Allen's script is restrictive though, David normally thrives under the conditions that he sets himself in Curb Your Enthusiasm.
His delivery isn't quite as effortless here. The script is solid but is hardly vintage Allen. One for fans of Allen and/or David.
