Review of What We Do in the Shadows (2014) by Matt C — 14 Mar 2015
HIlarious! If you're a "Flight of the Conchords" fan then I would definitely recommend giving this one a look. The film is a mockumentary about the lives of three Vampires living in New Zealand.
There's Viago (Taika Waititi) who is kinda a goodie goodie looking for a long lost love, Vladislav (Jemaine Clement) one of the older Vampires who's dominated many places in the past and is just a badass.
Then there's Deacon (Jonathan Brugh) who's the youngest and more rash of the group. The movie follows them for a few days throughout their lives and how they deal with anything from house chores, going out, eating, etc.
It's really well done and has that New Zealand dry sense of humor that was very present in "Flight of the Conchords." I would take a look at the trailer and if that interests you then definitely give this one a look! I found it made me laugh and entertained for its short hour and 25 minute run time!
