It's a quirky & odd little mockumentary. It doesn't have constant laugh out loud moments; a fair amount of the humor is quite subtle. I can understand why many people rate this higher, due to its originality and how it pokes fun at its source material (vampire, werewolf, and even a bit of zombie lore).
However, I could also understand if someone didn't care for it. As I said, some of the humor is subtle and I could see some people finding it boring. I personally fall right in the middle. I can appreciate much of it, but in the end I think I just wanted more from it.
I would have liked more story and maybe some more outwardly funny scenes instead of the "so awkward, it's funny" type of comedy.
