I like Tsai's films like "The Hole". Sometimes his simplistic visuals are hypnotizing like in the movie I just mentioned, other times it can be downright boring like in "Dragon Inn", regardless though this film is interesting and is one of his best.
the issue with time and how it seems to pass differently in different places and how everyone is surrounded by loneliness, it creates the right kind of atmosphere.
