Review of What Time Is It There? (2001) by Leil Zahra M — 31 Mar 2009
Not to be seen without "The Wayward Cloud" (but watch this first). A cinematic joy with the camera lingering and taking its time. As Angelopoulos once said, it is like drinking coffee Greek style, sipping and savoring each drop of it, not like Italian espresso downed quickly (Im not judging here, each has its merits). Mystical and tender, yet sad and isolated... It is one of those movies that flashes back to your mind when you are on your own especially if sad, lonely, in love, or simply in need of company.
IMP: Wash it down with "The Wayward Cloud".
