Review of What Maisie Knew (2013) by Alex M — 08 Aug 2013
Sure the acting is great especially from Onata Aprile as the naive and innocent Maisie, but it's the direction that takes the cake here. It's the simple actions such as filming it from her eye level, having Maisie only witness a few seconds of the brutal arguments about her and just telling the story through her eyes is what makes this film all the more realistic and heartbreaking.
