Loved this movie. I don't know what else to say. I just loved it. The acting was amazing. The little girl who played Maisie was so great! I spent the majority of the movie just wanting to scoop her up and give her a hug, or wanting to slap her parents (Played by Julianne Moore and Steve Coogan).

On another note, I highly advise against watching this movie if you already have a massive crush on Alexander Skarsgard. Yeah, men will be RUINED for you. You will be crushed by the realization that you will never attract the level of perfection that is Alexander Skarsgard in this movie. I hate to say this, but this is his sexiest role (Which is surprising, considering he never even took off his shirt!). Imagine season four Eric Northman of True Blood. Yes, the puppy dog version. Now imagine that he knew how to cook, didn't kill people, loves children, and colors with them. That is the level of unattainable perfection that I am talking about. For your health and the dignity of men everywhere, avoid watching this movie.

Also, this movie made me cry. It's like a more adult version of Matilda, with worse parents who don't know that they're hurting their daughter. I don't cry in movies, so when I say that this movie made me cry, you should know that it gets emotional! I just wanted Maisie to be happy!!! Did she have a happy ending? Watch and see, and avoid throwing a fit at the parents. Good luck.
