Review of What Just Happened (2008) by Charles H — 24 Feb 2009
This film is not a fine example of Barry Levinson's work. Bizarrely, he casts a bunch of Italians as Jews. Also, the story is muddled and not particularly interesting. If there was a point to it all, it may have been that people can become their jobs (especially if said people are really good at their jobs).
When that happens, their personal relationships suffer. This theme is not a poor choice around which to script a movie, but the execution is wanting in this one.
