Review of What Just Happened (2008) by Scot C — 18 May 2011

"Make a note, a producer with a conscience.".

This movie gives great insight into the film industry, especially from a producers point of view. Its a black comedy, and it shows just how crazy Hollywood can be, and how much humour can be found in all the drama. Filmmaking can be stressful, and especially if you're working on multiple projects just like De Niro's character. This has a great cast, and Bruce Willis and Sean Penn playing themselves are a real gem in this movie. It has a strong plot, but De Niro as the lead really carries this story and is always so engaging in his roles. There are many amusing moments in this film, with a wide range of characters that compliment this story. People that are not in the film industry, will come out watching this movie with more insight and understanding. A really enjoyable film.
