Pointless, unless you want to watch Hollywood trumpet its own misplaced sense of self-importance. Plot seems to be to drop in as many Hollywood names and faces as possible, nothing more. Goes absolutely nowhere.

Huge big-name cast - Robert De Niro, Catherine Keener, Sean Penn (as himself), Bruce Willis (as himself), John Turturro, Stanley Tucci, Robin Wright Penn - is wasted. I have never seen De Niro look so ineffective and useless. The presence of Kristen Stewart should tell you this is crap.

The only positive aspect of the movie is the great over-the-top acting of Michael Wincott as the insane, intense Keith Richards-like director.
