Review of What Just Happened (2008) by Linda P — 17 Oct 2009

Just 3 out of 5 stars- the movie works because of the star factor (De Niro, Willis and the Penn couple) and a few good jokes that happen on the sly. As an inside story criticizing Hollywood realities, it has nothing new to say, unfortunately, but it does give us a take on what it feels like to be a producer. I think people who will appreciate it the most are those who like their humor dry.

It also finishes quite abruptly (you do think "what just happened" when the credits roll). I think overall, it's a pretty good film... by and large. I never expect much of Barry Levinson anymore. so ....~!
