Review of What Have I Done to Deserve This? (1984) by Miruna . — 29 Aug 2009
Pedro Almodovar's ode to the dysfunctional family.
Gloria is a No Doze popping overworked cleaning lady living in a tiny cramped apartment with her teenage sons, one is a drug dealer, the other one sleeps with men old enough to be his father, her funny mother in law, and her mean cab driving husband.
Her escape is her prostitute best friend and next door neighbor Cristal.
There's also a strange subplot about an abused telekenetic girl that seemed kind of unnecessary.
