Not the worst of rom coms (see Good Luck Chuck for that) but certainly not the best. This is one of those formulaic films that you watch just to kill time or to hear noise in the background. Noise is the dominant force in the first 20 or so minutes of this one.
Having said that, as compared to the deplorable other film mentioned in this review, this movie actually flows. By the latter third of it, you actually enjoy it after all the chaos has calmed down. You can feel the chemistry between Kutcher and Diaz, and there are actually a few good laughs.
Still, given the mere 15 minutes actually spent in Vegas, I think The Hangover would have been much more aptly named "What Happens in Vegas" than this one.
