Absolutely chilling. One of the best psychological thrillers of all time. Bette Davis is marvelous. Her portrayal is so nuanced, so complex. One moment you feel sorry for her; then you alternate between hate and fear.
Simply amazing. Didn't quite buy Joan Crawford though. I don't think ANYONE who saw "Mommy Dearest" can see her as ANYTHING but a victimizer rather than a victim.
