Perhaps the first Bette Davis' film I ever saw - and it's never to be forgotten.

This horror-like drama between two sisters has all you could possibly ask for as far as great script, great instruction and great acting goes. The Davis/Crawford combination creates suspense that remains unchallenged. Check out Davis' laughter after serving Crawford lunch...enough to make anybody´s blood crawl...

And yet, the aura of tragedy and sadness as well as complete understanding for the characters involved, is still what clings in one's mind after watching this truly gruesome drama.
