Review of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962) by Ian H — 18 Feb 2009
This is one superb psychological thriller -- with a fair dash of comic relief as well -- with the superb Bette Davis and Joan Crawford in the leading roles and playing their roles for all they are worth.
The "implied" violence, not being shown as movies are wont to today, was far more chilling to me than I think it would've been had it been shown, and the musical accompaniment added to the dark and fearful feel of the movie.
A classic.
