Review of Wetlands (2013) by Spencer S — 05 Feb 2015
We follow a young lady with some issues. She has some issues with her childhood, her head but mostly her hygiene. This film looks swell. It got some very nice lightening, the camera usage is super and so are the effects. It looks great. It's trippy, almost hallucienic at times and it got some original groove here. It's never boring and I feel entertained and I really want to know how it ends.
Some things are not that well delt with, and the story is weakining at times - it feels thin. It's like it's purpose is to gross you out and nothing else matters. Well, this maybe the film makers actual thing here, really.
First and foremost this is a provocative, explicit film that may turn several heads away from the screen. This is not an easy watch.
I can't think of any bodily fluids we aren't presented here. Most of them in very unorthodox ways. The lead is a very nasty, undelicate girl and her charm just almost saves my impression of her. This film is not for everyone, it's not typical and it's not bad. But it's not that good either.
6.5 out of 10 bacterias.
