Review of Wetlands (2013) by Jin T — 29 Jan 2017
What to say about this movie. There are so many things to point out because of what it is and how it is. It is one of the most extreme movies I've ever seen. And thanks to a certain someone, this became my favorite and I'm a sucker for foreign films.
Foreign movies really set themselves apart from the usual Hollywood stuff and I very much like what others do, outside of Murica. Yes, Murica. I said it, lick me. Oh no, there we go. This movie would really take a toll on you from the way it is. If you watch it and you were like me throughout the end, then you'll definitely understand why. It'll make you ask the one question that rules them all: What the fuck?
Carla Juri who plays as the main character of the movie, named Helen Memel is in a strange dilemma. Her ass is the dilemma. While having trouble with her parents regarding the divorce and how strange everyone is, the fact of the matter is that Helen is still having a dilemma of her ass. If you just watch the movie yourself, literally the shittiest movie you'll ever seen.
But while everything just makes you cover your mouth and feel shocked, probably throughout the movie, it's not a bad thing to watch. Maybe because I'm used to weird and random stuff. Especially when foreign films tend to do that. It's all fun and games until it gets serious. Maybe not too serious. If you have watched Amelie and think that's weird then you ain't seen nothing yet. Wetlands is a complete opposite. A u-turn perhaps. Probably a traffic jam you can't get out of once you watch it because this movie keeps you intact and want to know what really happens in the end.
All in all, Wetlands is a personal favorite and it's a great movie to watch. Even to relax and randomly fap. Wait, did I just said that? See, this movie can really influence you into many licks and beyond. But trust me when I say this, it's a distasteful yet brilliant movie. Something you want to prepare your body before you start this fuck ass movie.
