Review of Wetlands (2013) by David J — 13 Sep 2016
"Wetlands" is many things: It's an idiosyncratic, quirky rom-com in the same vein as "Amelie." It's a witty, hilarious, gag-inducing gross-out comedy. It's a poignant character study with a deeply-troubled protagonist and a score that sounds like it was pulled from "The Sims.
" What is most important about "Wetlands," however, is that it's a gleefully unconventional film that you're unlikely to forget, one which lays the groundwork for the promising careers of actress Carla Juri and director David Wnendt.
