Review of Wet Hot American Summer (2001) by Timothy A — 31 Jan 2015
Fascinating as a cultural artefact considering how important many of the cast would become later on, but curiously flat despite this. Never quite sure if it's a parody or affectionate homage to the early/mid-eighties American teen picture, it ends up recreating many of the clichés of the genre without subversion, comment, or seemingly, any point.
