Review of Westworld (1973) by Andrew B — 19 May 2009
It's a predictable movie, but still entertaining. There are some parts that feel a little too "zany" to me. I do like the idea that people want excitement so much and they can't get it in everyday life so they need to fulfill that with something else like being able to feel like you've actually killed a person.
I agree with Quentin Tarantino that this movie could be a distant cousin of Eli Roth's Hostel, except in that one, human beings have gone even further and want to really kill someone.
