Review of Westward the Women (1951) by Antoinette C — 02 Mar 2009
I love this movie because it reminds me what we are capable of doing if we have to. If any movie should be on regular rotation on the classic movie channel, this would be it.
When I travel in a comfortable airplane to the West Coast and then drive in AC to the beautiful sites of the Southwest I do think of this movie. These women fought for their very lives across rough and hostile terrain to forge a new lives for themselves and/or their families. They didn't quit, they pulled up their sleeves and fought for their new lives.
Must see flick!
