West Side Story is a beautiful musical retelling the story of Romeo and Juliet, but it handles it with such care and beauty. The film is in the lines with The Wizard of Oz and Singin' in the Rain as the greatest musical of all-time.
The cast is fantastic and the songs were flawless, and I was truly suprised how much fun I had with this epic musical. I think this is one of those rare films that is likable to almost anyone, or at least anyone who enjoys a great musical and tragedy.
West Side Story is one of the greatest musicals ever made, and is a true masterpiece.
