Review of Werewolf of London (1935) by Jason H — 30 Mar 2009
I feel this film is quite underrated. While clearly inferior to the later Wolf Man, it is a much different film in many ways. Henry Hull delivers a good performance, unique among Universal werewolves (in that it's not Chaney).
I really like Valerie Hobson as well...in any role she plays. That said, it certainly isn't well remembered and it was certainly ahead of its time. While not the lasting classic many of the Universal Horror films of the time were, it still holds it's place in film history.
