I liked this movie - it's definitely geared to teens. I wish I had had this kind of movie available to me when I was growing up instead of the sad, depressed, 'what a problem that I'm gay' kind of movies.
It does overplay stereotypes now and then, but the music and singing are very well done. The actor who plays Timothy, Tanner Cohen, reminds me of a young Ewan McGregor.
